News from the network: capito receives EIC funding

The EIC Accelerator (EIC) is one of the most exclusive funding programs to support game-changing start-ups (the success rate of applicants is lower than 1%). The program was launched by the European Commission as part of the European Innovation Council project. Every year, the EIC selects the innovative front-runners and this year, capito, a Graz-based member of the Data Intelligence Offensive, received the funding.

“The Corona crisis shows what damage difficult information can cause. Text-quality is understandability. That is why we have developed scalable digital services to provide understandable information for everybody. We apply artificial intelligence trained with data from 6,000 easy-language projects. Every year, 1.000 more are added. With the help of the EIC accelerator, capito digital will soon be able to produce easy-to-understand language fully automatically for German, English, French and Spanish, and we start to scale-up globally”, states the head of development and CDO Paul Anton Mayer.

Anyone who already wants to write more comprehensibly doesn’t have to wait. For the German language, there is already a writing assistant on the capito website under „capito digital“ as a preliminary stage of the service. Try it!
