Banner with IDSA and DIO LogoData, as we all know, has no national boundaries – just as collaboration should not stop at borders to further advance data economy issues. The Data Intelligence Offensive (DIO) and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) are therefore working together.

Both initiatives are already collaborating on the growth of Data Spaces. With the cooperation, they will combine their strengths and work together for sovereign and trustworthy data sharing. The top priority is mutual communication, knowledge transfer and support to further drive the international data economy and thus integrate European standards into a thriving data ecosystem.

TRUSTS as a common starting point

In addition to the now formalized cooperation, DIO and IDSA are also working collaboratively on the TRUSTS – Trusted Secure Data Sharing Space – project, joining forces with a strong consortium to develop a platform for secure, trusted and DSGVO-compliant data sharing, as well as a platform federator that connects data markets. The project builds on the existing reference architecture of IDSA, as well as the DIO predecessor project Data Market Austria (DMA) for the technical implementation

About IDSA

The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) is committed to shaping the future of the global digital economy with International Data Spaces (IDS), a secure, sovereign system of data exchange in which all participants can realise the full value of their data. IDS enables new smart services and innovative business processes that work across companies and industries while ensuring that self-determined control over data use (data sovereignty) remains in the hands of data providers.

The Data Intelligence Offensive (DIO) association was founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the Austrian flagship project Data Market Austria. Its goal is to establish a sustainable and open data ecosystem in Austria to drive innovation, employment and societal prosperity. To this end, DIO acts as Austria’s central cooperation platform for networking leading stakeholders from business, science and public administration.
