GAIA-X – A federated data infrastructure for Europe
The German-French flagship project GAIA-X has set itself the goal of paving the way for a European digital ecosystem. Representatives from business, science and politics are jointly developing proposals to create a secure and networked data infrastructure that meets the highest standards of digital sovereignty and promotes innovation.
The Data Intelligence Offensive supports the GAIA-X project and wants to contribute on a national and international level to secure Europe’s data sovereignty and to permanently build and maintain its digital sovereignty. For several years now, DIO has been involved in various initiatives, such as Data Market Austria and TRUSTS, to promote the intelligent use of data. Promoting innovation and enabling easy and uncomplicated access to the data market – these are goals that both DIO and GAIA-X are pursuing. It is important to use common knowledge and join forces to implement the initiative for Europe in the best possible way!
What is Gaia-X? For a short and concise explanation, take a look at the video:
At the end of January 2021, a non-profit association was established (GAIA-X AISBL) to consolidate efforts within the community and promote international cooperation by assisting in the development of legal frameworks and the expansion and dissemination of necessary services.
European and international partners are invited to join the effort and contribute to its development. GAIA-X is also in continuous exchange with the European Commission.
The Data Intelligence Offensive is also a member of the GAIA-X AISBL.
