feratel media technologies AG, headquartered in Innsbruck, is an all-in-one provider in the field of digital destination management. Successfully positioned on the market since 1978, feratel supports more than 4,000 tourist destinations in Europe: with the booking engine, the digital registration system, a wide variety of digital map systems, the digital vacation companion through to business intelligence tools or the one-stop store.
The goal is always to find individually tailored, cross-product solutions and thus efficiently support tourist destinations and their service providers in the acquisition and support of customers along the entire customer journey.
In 2017, feratel acquired a stake in Onlim GmbH, a company specializing in chatbots and artificial intelligence. As one of the leading developers and providers of tourism information systems, feratel not only wants to participate in these inventions, but also actively help develop them for the industry. In 2018, feratel is therefore launching one of the largest research projects in Austria in relation to artificial intelligence, together with Onlim and the STI research group at the University of Innsbruck. Initiated and funded by the three partners, the MindLab project researched and developed methods and software tools for modeling and implementing scaling knowledge graphs.
